Keep it simple, sis!
Sometimes you just need to pause. Being entrepreneurs, we often feel like Rhianna and work work work work work, but no one leaves a job they hate to work ALL THE TIME, even if you're working for yourself. You didn't decide to begin your own business to work 24/7.
In building my dream career and life, there are things I've learned from other sources and lessons I've learned for myself, firsthand. Our lives are not fulfilled by work success alone, there are several factors and elements that make us love our lives. But when we're overwhelmed with making everything work successfully, we need to take it back to the basics! K.I.S.S.
Here are a few lessons I've learned along the way:
Make time for renewal
Have fun
Make time for things that bring you joy
Work within your purpose
Utilize your strengths and skills
You may have to redefine what success feels and looks like for yourself
You didn't fail if it doesn't look the way you thought it would
Set yourself up for success
Celebrate your accomplishments
Change must occur to move forward
We're often juggling so much that the world around us feels busy and overwhelming. Sometimes, we just need to step back and take stock of the journey. I encourage you to look for the good in your life. Keeping a gratitude journal is a good way to spark peace. Take time to reflect and recalibrate when necessary. Find out what your simple needs are in order for you to operate at your best.
When you begin to feel overwhelmed, it's time to pause and take a moment to breathe. Life is meant to be enjoyed and you must take care of yourself, so that you can give to others and reach your goals. Self care is a necessity, especially when you do the role of everyone from the janitor to the CEO in your business. Making time to pause and dream can remind you of the reasons you began your business and give you ideas to grow.
You can't continue to be overwhelmed and be sustainably successful, it's time to get back to the basics!
